Grammar Homework:
 1. Word Hunt:  When you are reading tonight, make list of 8 or more  juicy words the author  used.
           
 2.  If the word is a verb, put a check next to it.  If the word is an adjective, put a star next to it.

         
Math Homework:
1. Solve this problem on a piece of paper:

                 

                  Brady has 47 kid bucks.  Jimmy gives him 25.  How many kid bucks does 

                  Brady have now?

                 

                  Did you need to regroup?  How do you know.  Explain your answer.

  2.  Practice Math Facts.

Valentine's Day

We will be handing out valentines Friday, February 13th.  If you choose to send in valentines, be sure your child has enough valentines for the entire class.  Here's our list:

Student Portfolios

I hope everyone enjoyed their snow day!  If your child came home with his/her work portfolio, please remember to send it back to school tomorrow.  I always conference with children prior to their portfolios going home.  If your child didn't have one come home Friday, it will come home tomorrow after they've met with me to review their work!
